Another way

  Welcome everyone!

Our new theme at Our creative corner in November is

 - Topsy Turvy! -
Lys says: ''We often try to do the 'right' way, use the suitable thing, organize our creations following definite lines or intentions… and sometimes it doesn’t go the way we wanted to. Sometimes it goes to the bin, sometimes we discover something new… and we love it!

On the right side or topsy turvy… Is there a right side in art?

So let’s play!:  whatever it is: upside down,  inverted, reversed or escaping from the right order…. Please show me one “topsy turvy” creation, and how it came to life in your hands!

I have used the theme to try it some new, I like to do this with Mr. Art Journal ;-)
My favourite product in moment is Matte medium as transfer for pictures from old magazines,
by coincidence is this shadow effect behind the face emerged.

- together in beauty -

Feelings and experiences

just another way

Let the ideas flow to marvel at the end itself!
our fantastic sponsor this month is

Vintage & Nostalgia

Welcome everyone!
It' s an honour to be invited here and I'm very happy about this !
This month challenge theme Art Journaling with Tim
was really perfect for me , because it's one of my favourite genres !
You can try out colours, techniques, materials and effects. Taking yourself out of the box and
discover yourself and a new world, let the ideas flow to marvel at the end itself, which has been incurred for me to be creative means.

I started by embossing a piece of craft paper, I used the dry embossing technique with the folder Clocks.
The rand was distressed and then glued to the Art Journal Page.

Distress crackle paint picket fence + Distress inkpad Walnut stain + Ink blending tool

pieces of old book pages, white gesso and stencil for the background
the script was printed on linen paper

to work with his beautiful distress inks like black soon, walnut stain and vintage phote together with a little bit water in the mini misters is one of my favourite usages
and indispensable for such old shabby chic projects

I hope you like my little inspiration for this beautiful month theme!

Welcome friends,

our new theme at SanDees&Amelies Steampunk Challenge is
"Top Hats and Moustaches"

are two of the "ingredients" we all love about Steampunk art! So show us your "moustached" canvasses, cards, tags, objects,....those top hats sitting on...well, whatever you think they can sit on.
Anyway - we hope you are not too busy with crafting away on Halloween projects only and maybe find some time for a little Steampunk piece too this month.

How I made this

I started by embossing a piece of craft paper, I used the dry embossing technique.

background was made with wire and cargo stencil + Distress ink as spray paint (+ water in mini mister)
up(p)s - I'm heavy on wire

Memories

Welcome!
A new Layout as memory on beautiful evenings by the sea in September last year,
it was not so cold and the fog began to rise.
I love the warm rich colours of this time, a wonderful magical atmosphere.
